From what I’ve heard from Thai law, if someone is caught with illegal drugs they receive the death penalty. Now that in this case there is another police officer involved, what will happen? Will he be ‘awarded’ a nice inactive post or be given the same punishment as a normal Thai citizen? I think we all know the answer to these questions.

It makes you wonder where the drugs really came from.Would a bent police Sargent really need to buy them.It opens up a can of worms don't you think.

And yet again, that daily proof that current drug policy is worse than a total failure.
It not only helps no decent Thai person whatsover, but actively encourages corruption and profits mafia scum.

I am afraid everybody would be disappointed because he would be bailed and released.........and slowly....slowly.....the case would be forgotten and 18 years later, he still receives his pension from the government at the expense of the taxpayers' money.

Considering how much yaba and ice that is confiscated each day,it should reduce availability and press up prices. But this is not happening. In fact,it's becoming cheaper and more available.

I never would have suspected that police break the law in Thailand.

I think you meant to say ANOTHER cop gets busted trafficking yaba .It is ironice that the police are supposed to be leading the war on drugs when it seems they are the ones selling it .How many people arent surprised ? How many people actually have any respect for the police ?
