Four bodies were found drifting in the sea in the Gulf of Thailand off the Surat Thani coast by fishermen on Sunday, police said.
Pol Col Chinawat Premsa-nga, the Tha Chana district police chief, said the fishermen said the bodies were of both sexes and were found aboout 17 nautical miles from the shore.
Marine police went out to pick up the bodies in a patrol boat. It was not known whether the bodies would be brought to Chaiya or Tha Chana districts.
