Dems move against Sukumpol

Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva will this week file a petition asking the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to investigate Defence Minister Sukumpol Suwanatat for malfeasance in connection with the Defence Ministry's order to dismiss him retroactively from military service and strip him of his rank, Democrat Party spokesman Chavanont Intarakomalyasut said on Monday.

Mr Chavanont was speaking after a meeting of Democrat MPs. He said the MPs expressed concern for Mr Abhisit over the issue.

Mr Abhisit explained to the meeting he had not used falsified documents to apply for a teaching job at Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, as alleged.

Surely the statue of limitations can be used in this case 25 years is a long time ago, and wasn't deemed at the time to be wrong. So it would be wrong to bring it up now! Next it will be he failed his math test in M1 grade! Or he was born during lunch time, not allowing the nurse her full meal break time!

Same-same only different. Is there another country on earth where the politicians spend all their time running to the courts suing each other? Whether the DEMS or PT are in power it's the same dreary parade day after day.

D3 Genii - So tell us, do you still have the paperwork you used to apply for your first job? And you expect Abhisit to have that same paperwork from 25 years ago? The only reason Sukumpol is pushing it through this way is because he knows people don't keep paperwork that long, so he can steam roll his version through. The PTP are stooping to lower rent politics day by day, and they some how find ways to keep gong even lower.

This embattled politician is certainly fighting hard for survival. This is good news for his enemies because they can go further for the dissolution of the Democrat Party. The ruling on his case by the Administrative Court is also being watched by all of us, who want to know how independent is this so-called independent organization.

The government should focus on the real problems of the country instead of trying to hurt the reputation of real politicians!

It was just not long ago that we condemned the wealthy and powerful for abusing their privileges to evade wrongdoings and crime. The same posters are now cheering and encouraging the abuse.
