Chalerm: Govt won’t use special law

The government will use peaceful means to ensure law and order during the planned anti-government rally, without invoking any special law, Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yubamrung said on Wednesday.

The deputy premier insisted that the government will refrain from using force against the supporters of the Pitak Siam group, which plans a mass protest against the government on Nov 24 at the Royal Plaza.

National police chief Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew will be responsible for overseeing the protest and maintaining law and order during the rally, he said.

    things are getting more serious than Chalerm anticipated.

    Nov24, Pres. Obama will be gone. Anti-government rally could do it the weekend Obama visits to show that his phrase for YS's ability to run the government is just the deplomatic words by him not the fact.

    Representatives from the United Nations and foreign media will be invited as observers, Chalerm said.

    Boy it must get right up Chalerms nose that because OB is in town they have to be on best behavior.

    Chalerm is not smart enough to consider all the angles. Now we know for sure that TS is manipulating this entire affair.
