Pitak Siam leader denies aiming to "freeze" Thailand

BANGKOK - The Pitak Siam group has never called for the country to be closed to outsiders but only wants to stop corrupt politicians, Gen Boonlert Kaewprasit said on Sunday morning.

He said this before launching convoys of vehicles in a campaign for the people to join the planned rally at the Royal Plaza on Nov 24 in a show of force against the government for turning a blind eye to acts of lese majeste, acting as a puppet of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and allowing corruption to become widespread without proper suppression.

LOL there are NEVER 60 red supporters on this forum who would " dislike" the rightful anti government comments here...this is clearly a scam! They must truly be getting extremely nervous!

Pheu Thai won (just) on the back of promises of computers for all children (not happened), Pay rises for all workers (Not happened) and many offers for the good life (Not happened ) Only telling the poor people in the North of this new land of Milk and money! And the 'Police force of Red thugs standing by (PAID) to hurt any who may want to change their minds! Even now they will put up the reds to help 'change the mind of any one who may have decided to change sides'

It's pretty obvious that someone is skewing the "likes" and "dislikes." Either that, or Thaksin has engaged a mind control device overnight, turning everyone into brain-addled red supporters. Get on it Bangkok Post.

"Pheu Thai Party spokesman Prompong Nopparit said Pheu Thai was concerned that some political groups or parties might use their canvassers to get more people to join the anti-government rally." Of course PT would never, ever do such a thing themselves.

If it makes the governing party think twice about how much corruption the Thai people will stand then the demonstration will have served its purpose.

Last week thai news media widely publicized that Boonlert voiced freezing the nation for 5 years after toppling the current PT government. Today Boonlert denied that he said so.

Did I hear someone mutter 500 baht per person in one of these comments? My dear friend, what is 500 baht when the P.T government paid 7.5 million baht from the tax payers money to each of the families, who allowed their dead member to burn, terrorize, loot and ruin Bangkok and many other provinces. These people destroyed public property, destruction that the tax payers will require to pay to get repaired. Anyone can grumble about this new rally but, NEVER the reds or the P.T both of which are enslaved to a criminal.
