Thaksin not happy with speaker duo

Ex-PM says Pheu Thai debate showing 'weak'

Ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has expressed dissatisfaction with the House speaker and his deputy for their performance in the no-confidence debate.

The de facto leader of Pheu Thai Party expressed his disappointment via Skype at a Pheu Thai Party meeting Wednesday, despite the fact that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and three cabinet ministers comfortably survived the no-confidence vote.

According to party sources, Thaksin said that Pheu Thai representatives who participated in the debate were too weak _ particularly when Democrat Jurin Laksanavisit wrapped up the opposition's allegations on Tuesday night.

Disc 13,Total agreement, what is the offence the govertment has committed?Khun Taxsin has committed no crimes in the eyes of the outside world which is huge. No country recognises the legitimacy of his conviction. They all believe as i do and many others it was politically motivated to remove him from office.Hes only guilty in the eyes of a few people on these colums and the yellow mob that keeps putting Thailand in disaray. There is a real big world out there and Bangkok is only a pin prick on the globe. You should get out there columist and open your eyes.

Renaissance(D36): No, I do not believe that Thaksin is free of any and all corruption, and made no such claim. I just doubt whether corruption under the present Government is worse than under the Democrats, as many claim, most notably many Democrats, despite the fact that Abhisit's government was embroiled in one corruption scandal after another. But then politicians generally have no shame.

#33 - "Do you imagine for one second that forcing those bills through will bring about any reconciliation?"

Well, possibly. Because as another columnist on this paper has pointed out, reconciliation will come, not as some embrace of previously competing interests, but when one side recognises that they really have nothing further to gain and will simply sue for the best compromise they can get. As things stand, and whether you like it or not, it is clear that Peua Thai/Yingluck/Thaksin/UDD are a lot closer to achieving their goal than are their opponents.

Thaksin's dislikes are indicative of the kind of control he wants : total.

He has total control of his party : 'He threatened not to field them in next elections if there was no improvement..' What next ?

Discussion 23: I don't know if you understand Thai. There was plenty of evidence given during the censure debate, even about where the money was going to. The man in charge of all large rice orders is a close friend of Thaksin. It wouldn't stand up in court as evidence, of course. But you are free to assume that Thaksin is innocent of all and any corruption, if you wish to. The Red Shirts strongly believe that he does everything for the good of the Thai nation without wanting anything for himself and that there has never been any proof that he has ever been corrupt. Many would disagree with this, however.

englishbob(D33): Sexist, derogatory comments are of no value, and only serve to reflect negatively on those who resort to such language. For what it's worth, virtually all polls of the people whose views really matter (the voters)give positive ratings to the PM.

I think that PM of any country communicating with and seeking advice from a fugitive convicted criminal should be ousted from office.
The most divisive person to have ever been involved in Thailand politics ever .. Thaskin will be the ruin of this country ... it is absolutely disgusting the problems he is allowed to cause in this country.

Disc27 Orange... How can you describe them as 'Reconciliation Bills'?
Do you imagine for one second that forcing those bills through will bring about any reconciliation?

Disc30 Christie... "Still she Yingluck is the best PM ever in Thailand !!!"

Please explain why. Which of her policies do you most admire?
(Note - I said 'policies', not hairstyles, cosmetics, handbags or designer outfits.)

Whenever and where ever I see a picture of TS I see a greedy, bitter, wrinkled, selfish old man. Can such a character bring anything inspiring and positive for the future?
