Thaksin not happy with speaker duo

Ex-PM says Pheu Thai debate showing 'weak'

Ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has expressed dissatisfaction with the House speaker and his deputy for their performance in the no-confidence debate.

The de facto leader of Pheu Thai Party expressed his disappointment via Skype at a Pheu Thai Party meeting Wednesday, despite the fact that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and three cabinet ministers comfortably survived the no-confidence vote.

According to party sources, Thaksin said that Pheu Thai representatives who participated in the debate were too weak _ particularly when Democrat Jurin Laksanavisit wrapped up the opposition's allegations on Tuesday night.

Well at least there can no longer be any doubt just who is in charge of the Pheu Thai party.

The Dems keep crying foul yet their behavior is far from orderly at times. Remember the chaos in the house chambers trying to force the speaker from his seat to the point where police had to be brought in to protect him from angry democrates tossing paper around.

If those reconciliation bills are put forward again then yes i agree Phue Thai needs to be stronger.

Taksin shouldn't blame the speakers at all...after all the speakers know the rules but some PTP members just don't know the real ethics need to sit in the parliament ...they're just like people coming out from a wild west saloon like in the movies...such a shame.

d18: PT have never hidden the fact that Thaksin is running the party. Their election motto was "Thaksin thinks - Phue Thai Acts". Where have you been for the last two years?

d19: Not denial - reality. The people that follow Thaksin and support the PT live in the real world where all they want is a government that meets their basic needs - no matter what the implications are and that is the basis of successful politics in Thailand. I worked in the villages up north for over a year - they may not be educated but they are not stupid. They want a government that caters for them and not just those from the cities who make the most noise.

Renaissance(D10): "there is so much evidence of corruption". No doubt there is corruption, unfortunately that's still a fact of life in Thailand. But is it any worse than under the Democrat led coalition, as many claim? How can that be proved? Where are the facts and figures? Accusations are easy, proving them less so.

"Just to refresh everybody's memory, what crime exactly was Mr. Thaksin convicted of?"
O.K. lets play your game !
I answer you that he was sentenced for abuse of power and corruption and you will say that this sentence was unfair und political motivated.
But there is always an easy explaintion for the things that Mr. Thaksin did right. My favourite is when he called the concealing of billions an honest mistake. And said that the documents of the revenue department were just to confusing to complete.

Naturally they won the vote they have a majority and no one is going to have the confidence to break ranks on fear of a reprisal.More importantly being do not want to be left out of the gravy train.Just as important why do these news papers give the fugitive space to voice his opinions.I do not understand may be some one can deliberate.
