Thaksin not happy with speaker duo

Ex-PM says Pheu Thai debate showing 'weak'

Ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has expressed dissatisfaction with the House speaker and his deputy for their performance in the no-confidence debate.

The de facto leader of Pheu Thai Party expressed his disappointment via Skype at a Pheu Thai Party meeting Wednesday, despite the fact that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and three cabinet ministers comfortably survived the no-confidence vote.

According to party sources, Thaksin said that Pheu Thai representatives who participated in the debate were too weak _ particularly when Democrat Jurin Laksanavisit wrapped up the opposition's allegations on Tuesday night.

Thaksin has won again, but his image must have suffered even more. There is so much evidence of corruption in his policies and schemes that only the most fanatical, brainwashed Red Shirt could see him in a positive light and as beneficial to Thailand. The corruption will surely increase the demonstrations opposing him being whitewashed. I wonder if Bhumjaithai, Matubhum and Rak Thailand voted for the government because they saw that doing so is the only way to get a share of the country's coffers. It just adds to the worsening public perception of the integrity and real intentions of Thailand's politicians. All parties lost in this debate.

I truly believe that if Thaksin were ingnored he would dry up and float away. Feed his ego and he will prosper. Amazing Thailan - the people who dislike him so much have kept him alive in the news and politics by constantly acting as though what he thinks or does matters. Sadly, there does not seem to be an alternative with leadership potential.

"Convicted criminal, 2 arrest warrants, 2 year jail sentence pending!"
I agree but I don't dare to write that because now we will have to read all these posts saying that he is innocent and the courtdecisions were all political motivated.

"I hope Yingluck forgive opposition for argue with her party, and they all become friend and work together for the country."
Personally I really appreciate that you are so peace loving. Realisticly though I am quite certain that you will one day, wish that the opposittion would have argued more with the Yingluck government.

The female MPs were supposed to come to the defense of Yingluck but were is Yingluck's outrage and concern for female Thai citizens and tourists involved in recent abuse and rape cases?

I think thus is a script from a Ray Bradbury book. It surely can;t be true, can it? Only in Thailand.
Funny, I was talking to a former special forces soldier just this morning that served during the Vietnam war and has lived in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. He said even Cambodia is better run than Thailand is. That's saying a lot and it's not good.

    What about Mr.Thaksin himself?
He is the weakest of them all, not even man enough to face the music and take responsibiliy
for his actions. As soon as he gets in trouble he runs away and cries.
Hiding in foreign countries is not concidered being strong, now is it?

How is Thaksin having meetings via Skype with the government? Convicted criminal, 2 arrest warrants, 2 year jail sentence pending! Defacto leader? The whole party needs to be thrown into jail. Outrageous!

Thaksin does make a point in that PT's performance in the censure debate was relatively weak. They still won but they should have mopped the floor with the Dems as the mops. Always room for improvement.
