Bhumjaithai shuns renegade MP

The opposition Bhumjaithai Party (BJT) has announced that it will boycott Ratchaburi MP Chaworalut Chinthammamitr for voting against the party line in the recent censure debate.

Party secretary-general Supachai Jaisamut said on Thursday that Ms Chaworalut defied the party by giving a vote-of-confidence to three cabinet ministers targeted during the debate.

The BJT earlier passed a resolution that all of its MPs should support Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, abstain in the vote against Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yubamrung and Defence Minister Sukumpol Suwanatat, and vote against Deputy Interior Minister Chatt Kuldilok.

So Bhumjaithiai stands against individual freedoms.

I really wish that politicians would read the Constitution...

Section 162 clearly states that All members must vote independantly in a vote of confidence (censure motion) and should never be bound by any Resolution of their political party.

The opposition Bhumjaithai Party (BJT) has announced…

Opposition to what; opposition to who?

They might as well be called the 'Run-with-the-hare, Hunt-with-the-hounds’ Party.
