All government-run schools in Pattani that were closed last week in protest against poor security for teachers, will reopen tomorrow, Education Minister Phongthep Thepkanchana said yesterday.
DEADLY BLAST: Soldiers inspect a wrecked pickup truck on a rural road at Ban Rang Mod Daeng in tambon Don Sai of Mai Kaen district in Pattani yesterday. The pickup carrying six soldiers was hit by a 20kg home-made bomb, killing one and injuring five.
Mr Phongthep said in the weekly Prime Minister Yingluck Meets the People television programme that he had spoken to southern teachers about their problems and was assured that schools in Pattani could resume classes tomorrow.
