Disaster warnings issued for three southern provinces

Residents told to be on alert after days of rain

Natural disaster warnings have been issued for residents in Phatthalung, Satun and Songkhla provinces, as several days of continued heavy rain sparked fears of flooding and landslides.

Phatthalung's disaster prevention and mitigation officials yesterday issued urgent warnings to those living close to rivers, streams and mountain ranges in Kong Ra, Pa Bon, Tamot, Si Banphot, Si Nakharin and Pa Phayom districts.
