BMA faces probe over Futsal arena

The Pheu Thai Party on Monday formally asked the Department of Special Investigation (DSI)to investigate whether there were irregularities in the construction of the Bangkok Futsal Arena by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.

The letter requesting the inquiry was filed by Pheu Thai deputy spokesman Jirayu Huangsap, .

It stated the hiring of EMC Plc by the BMA  and the expenditure of a budget of 1,239 million baht by Bangkok Governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra and his deputy Thirachon Manomaipiboon might have violated the price collusion law and BMA's hire and purchase regulations.

Disc 1 - You are correct the PTP are trying to discredit the BMA prior to the election just as the Democrats are also trying to do the same to PTP. That's politics. But, I do believe that the PTP know exactly who they are going to run in the BMA election and by not announcing they control the Democrat's decision of who will run. BTW, the Democrats can't decide either it's a waiting game that will likely play out on the last day.

This possible corruption case, and all the other cases, should be investigated – obviously by a non-corrupt organization.
It is sad to see that these cases are always only investigated when the opposition party (this time the PT as opposition to the DEM BKK governor) demands an investigation.
Are there no independent organizations left in TH which automatically start to investigate all possible major corruption cases?

Tax was already wasted when the arena was approved by Dem. govt. and was even more wasted shamefully when BMA could not deliver it in time nor accepted by FIFA.

PT trying to discredit BMA when PT cant even find anyone willing to run under them for the governor position .Do you really think Bangkok will vote PT when they see the way taxpayer money is wasted on their populist handouts and corruption ?
