For those who think it's a game, where real people lose their lives at the hands of brutal leaders.

"Information from witnesses and the examination of evidence was solid enough for the investigators to decide to lay charges against the two men."

Clearly it's not a game, time to let go of that false belief.

Dear red friends and P.T supporters, this sudden turn of face by Tharit will not last long. The true reasons for Tharits change of color will soon be out. About this case, there will be calls to testify, a few visits to the court etc. However at the end of the day, the court WILL NOT pin the label 'murderer' on Suthep or Abhisit. An armed protest, dozens of bombs and grenades, M79 firing, shelling at an oil refinery, 500,000 protestors, 3 months of city closure and JUST 91 deaths? Sad but honestly the army could and would have killed a lot more if Ordered to do so.

The term for all this is "victor's justice". It's not really about whether or not any particular individual is at fault for any of these deaths, it's only about whose currently in charge when someone is accused. In a completely fair and unbiased system, many people from each side of the various conflicts/campaigns over the past 11 years should be rightly brought before the bar and the evidence for and against them examined and adjudicated, and then, if appropriate, punished for their deeds.

Charges should be immediately laid against Thaksin for well over 2500 murders then. Thaksin ordered the war on drugs and to use all available means, he also freely admitted he personally was in charge in the South.
The problem here for PTP/reds is that Abhisit will face the charges like a MAN, instead of running to the Olympics and never coming back. Makes the guy in Dubai look like he's afraid to face justice.

Mr Tharit is right, both will not delay their reporting as they know very well it's just political play from the guy in Dubai. They will lay plenty of charges against it. It's power play...

What of the lady killed in the protests against Thaksin's administration when he was in power in 2005/6?
    Of course that's just one...

D20 Farang22. The same DSI that are trying to charge the democratically elected PM at the time have admitted the military may have only killed 21 or so leaving nearly 70 deaths at the hands of reds.

When some of those killers of the 70 odd are dragged before the courts their bosses will be shackled to them. Do you think the likes of Jatuporn and Nattawut will take one for the team. Dream on.

This sickening game of chicken will lead to more bloodshed and who is to blame.

"It is sad to think a simple election would have avoided all this in the first place"
you are wrong Genii ! If the Police had made its duties, Abhisit will have never used the military force...

Between 2006 and 2011, the junta and their puppets tried very hard, but failed to charge and prosecute TS for the said atrocities in the drug war, Tak Bai and Krue Se. The link between TS and those events failed the 3 key tests: What actually happened, Who was responsible, Evidence.

Why? Because that fictitious link was propagated by junta propaganda and TS's political foes.

In contrast, Suthep and AV ordered the emergency decree and were directly issuing orders via the CRES during the 2010 bloody crackdown on an otherwise huge but peaceful rally. The link is clear. The culpability of the lost of lives rest with these two.

If it looks like a fish and smells like a fish, that is because it is a fish. Any sane person that would believe these charges, is well, probably a graduate of the 37th/40 worst education system in the world. Push to hard, invite the Army to take over. That is exactly where this is heading
