Chief whip agrees to give MPs choice on charter change plan

The government whip has agreed to take into consideration a proposal by a group of senators that the government amend the constitution section-by-section instead of rewriting its entirety.

Udomdet: Piecemeal change up for debate

Chief whip Udomdet Rattanasathian yesterday said the Pheu Thai Party-led government would allow its MPs to decide on their own whether they supported the proposal.

    So where in that bill does it allow Thaksin to return? It is only a bill to change the way things are done, from the government writing a constitution to a partially elected committee. What is the big fuss about?
