British, US teachers found dead

PATHUM THANI: Two language instructors, one American and one British, were found dead inside an apartment unit in the Rangsit area on Saturday morning.

Police said investigators were baffled by the circumstance of the deaths.

Charlie Milsom, a 35-year-old Briton, and Jonathan Louis, a 40-year-old American, were found sitting on chairs, with vomit on their bodies. They had likely been dead for eight to 10 hours, police said.

I notice on the refrigerator the DMC sticker for Wat Thammakaya temple. Perhaps the police could contact the temple for information regarding their habits. If they are DMC members, their reputations would be morally clean... especially regarding alcohol, drugs and cigarettes, etc.

Dear Dis# 14, tell me where is the safe place for tourists, Florida? NY? DC? Papers have been reported how dangerous Thailand since many decades ago. Millions have been pass through the country, people can choose the way to joy Thailand and varieties to engage. Many asked me about "Pat Pong", I just said I haven't been there and have no interest to be there.

I have to agree with Pink Lotus (Disc 16) That the police would be baffled sounds ridiculous also! Need autopsies ASAP.

What an absolute tragedy. I just do not understand how after breaking in through a double locked door then finding someone inside in ANY state you would not check their medical condition very carefully. How could you just ignore 2 people for the whole night particularly hours later they were still unresponsive. Then you ignore that fact for a second time and go back to your peaceful sleep. Especially given their position and the fact that they had recently started or habitually taking drugs. Would not alarm bells have sounded in even the most callous individual.

I would be checking to see if they bought food to take home from a food-vendor along the street. I'm not accusing anyone of anytihng, but it apaears they were poisioned. Hopefully, tests will determine the cause of death.

some very callous and adverse comments from those who have presumed the cause of this tragic event! two people have died in circumstances yet to be determined. my sympathies to their families!

D28: Your sweeping statement or attempted joke could not be in poorer taste. Having known Charlie well, he is the last person to attempt suicide. He just wouldn't have done that. Why would you make such a post? Surely you must understand that friends may be reading this and be offended at a time when they they are already mourning their friend.

I wonder whether their obvious suicides have anything to do with the fast-approaching 2012 Mayan Calendar Prophecy?

The Dark Side - "Drug overdose. Sorry I don't feel anything for either of them. "

What a callous creep. You don't know what happened. It's a little weird to believe that two grown men overdosed at exactly the same time with the wife present or not even bothering to check. Follow the insurance money.

    @ Discussion 9 (abbub):

Where in the article did you read “She said both men had gone into the room the night before. The next morning, she discovered that the door was locked” ?

If a Thai says “room”, it can also mean “house” or “apartment”.
