British, US teachers found dead

PATHUM THANI: Two language instructors, one American and one British, were found dead inside an apartment unit in the Rangsit area on Saturday morning.

Police said investigators were baffled by the circumstance of the deaths.

Charlie Milsom, a 35-year-old Briton, and Jonathan Louis, a 40-year-old American, were found sitting on chairs, with vomit on their bodies. They had likely been dead for eight to 10 hours, police said.

Gout occurs mostly in middle-aged men as a result of alcohol abuse.

Too many expat deaths in a short span of time but, keep your cool for this case. The embassies can have complete medical tests done to get to the bottom of this. Closed circuit cameras need to be checked for people leaving and entering the room or building. The wife surely knows what her husbands stress was related to, that is something to investigate in this case too. So what was so stressful that both had to die together? Did they commit suicide or were they forced to down the medication in large doses. If the embassies show little interest and trust the Thai police, then really nothing that can be done.

Drug overdose. Sorry I don't feel anything for either of them. This is not a case of finger pointing at the lousy government or the lousy/non-existent Thai police.

    disc 14
yes i am on samui now and its so quiet and has been since songkran.
The internet is a very powerful tool, even thai people i have spoken too seem to know exactly what is happening these days! The electric fiasco hasnt helped here either, lets hope things mite change as from what thais are telling me they have had enough themselves let alone us farangs

I don't believe that anything neferious happened. This is not a Thai Farang thing. Johnathon loved to play his guitar and the room that he was in was his. The same mess it always was.

I used to live in the same apartment building, but now live nearby and I never saw him unhappy.

It is not for me to surmise what happened, but I am a little shocked that this kind of photo would be published before any of his loved ones were notified and even after.

The vouyeristic nature of Thai media is somewhat primitive and disgusting.

Of course the zenophobic nature of this culture is understandable, the delight in farang death is not.

Disc14 Sibley - The sentence 'Thailand is not the place tourists should visit, Thai dogs are treated better then farang in Thailand' is troubling. There are many accidents/deaths/incidents which I believe occur due to people's behaviour - inexperienced motorbike riders, without helmets, unfamiliar roads, drunk driving, over-drinking, abusing drugs and partaking in extreme sports to mention a few.

I've lived here for 10 years and for the most part feel very welcome and safe.

"Police said investigators were baffled by the circumstance of the deaths". They usually are baffled and I seriously doubt if this case will have a believable closure. Thailand is not as safe as the TAT would hope people to think.

Your telling me the wife had guards break in the door, but she didnt think anything was "amiss" that they were both sitting there in chairs???
    That sounds fishy to me.
