- +

Investigators decided at a meeting today not to deny bail for former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and his former deputy Suthep Thaugsuban after they report to the DSI on Thursday to acknoledge charges, Department of Special Investigation (DSI) chief Tarit Pengdit said on Tuesday.

The meeting was held after some relatives of those who died in the April-May 2010 violence submitted a letter to the DSI, demanding that Mr Abhisit and Mr Suthep be put in jail.

The two men are to report to the DSI on Thursday, Dec 13, at 1pm to hear murder charges in connection with the death of taxi driver Phan Khamkong, who died during the red-shirt protests.  The Criminal Court ruled that he was shot dead by soldiers.
