The Appeals Court on Monday upheld the lower court's sentencing of Kwanchai Sarakham, chairman of the Khon Rak Udon Group, to two years and eight months in prison for leading a group of red-shirt followers to attack members of the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) at Prajak Silpakom public park on July 24, 2008.

In this case, the Udon Thani Court sentenced Mr Kwanchai to two years and eight months without suspension.

Mr Kwanchai was freed on 300,000 bail and took his case to the Appeals Court.
