A deputy spokesman for the opposition Democrat Party and a member of the party's legal team was viciously assaulted in front of his condominium in Bangkok on Monday night and is reported to be in critical condition in hospital.

Police said the attack on Ramet Ratanachaweng occurred in Bang Na district.

I hope Mr. Ramet recovers well and gets to see the cowards who committed this terrible crime punished appropriately. Beating somebody to within inches of death is as good as murder if not worse in the event that they are paralyzed, disabled or in a coma for life . Get well soon.
