The fire at a Toyota factory warehouse in Ban Pho district of Chachoengsao province on Sunday night caused an estimated 50 million baht damage, but will not affect production, Pairoj Hirunruangrong, senior president of Toyota Motor Thailand, said on Monday.
The warehouse that burned down was used for storing engine oil and belonged to Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Engineering and Manufacturing (TAMP-EM). The amount of oil lost in he blaze was equivalent to a daily delivery.
Mr Pairoj, a deputy senior member of TMAP-EM, said the pallet used for oil transportation and 10 forklifts were also damaged. No lives were lost.
