In my home country, Belgium, gas cars have to carry a sticker “LPG” (liquefied petrol gas) and they are banned from multi-storey car parks.

Most of LPG/CNG taxis were intalled with cheap components by untrained 'technicians' from road-side shops. So this is no surprising.

There appears to be a lot of vehicle fires in Thailand. Why. It was probably karma for this unfortunate Taxi driver as he may have been charging 'explosive' fairs. Was the taxi a new one or an old banger?

... now we certainly do know, what ths 'safety inspections' are for! Why other taxi drivers fled the scene, will most likely, forever, remain a mistery.
