3 boys killed in tunnel collapse

Three boys were killed in Chat Trakan district of Phitsanulok province on Sunday when a tunnel they were digging into an earthen floodwall collapsed.

The victims were identified as Krissana Sasana, 12, Isara Papan, 16, and Satayu Papan, 8, of Ban Terdchart in tambon Bo Phak.

Their parents found them buried in a tunnel dug into the 10-metre-tall floodwall several hours after they went missing on Sunday evening.

    Sad. But a 16 year old should understand that you don't dig a tunnel in a flood wall. As so often, very poor education is the cause the ignorance, and good education the key to a better future.
