DSI to explain itself every Wednesday

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) will hold a press conference every Wednesday afternoon to explain what it's doing to the public.

DSI chief Tarit Pengdit announced the move on Wednesday.

He said his department has 16 offices handling cases of different kinds, but most people think incorrectly that the DSI is responsible only for political cases and is a tool for the government to launch political attacks on its opponents.

genii disc #6 "It just goes to show in this job if you play by the rules there will be those who try to drag you down at all cost". I hope you included Abhisit in this statement. but I very much doubt it.

"The DSI had taken legal action against hardcore red-shirt protesters. It has filed 213 legal cases against red shirts, including 64 cases of terrorism and sabotage and 62 cases of arson, while 295 people on the UDD side have been arrested and prosecuted." - BangkokPost, 7/12/2012

Mr. Tarit...do you have plans of suit filings over your bruises (i.e Defamation of Character)?

He says it's false to believe that the department is just a tool for the government to launch attacks on its opponents, and then goes on to say that many more cases would be launched against Abhisit and Suthep in the New Year. It's a joke, but sadly not a funny one.

if you are criticised by as many as 10 million people on a daily basis you sure are doing everything well and for the sake of people.

    Badly written article.

I can't decide if that second 'to' in that sentence instead of 'for' is sloppy writing or an incisive criticism.... 8^)

"He said that if he had a choice he would not stay in the position."

Resign, as simple as that. Afraid you can't find another job?

"Mr Tarit said he was only the director-general of a department, but had continuously been criticised by as many as 10 million people on a daily basis".
It's like saying you're ONLY the bank director when it crash. Pathetic.

"He said that if he had a choice he would not stay in the position. He said he had been badly bruised, particularly over his handling of political cases".
No one is forcing him to stay. My advice is RESIGN.
