The most dangerous motor vehicles to be in/on in a road accident, are motor bikes and pick ups, (especially 4 wheel drive), unfortunatly these vehicles are the most popular modes of transport in Thailand. Add to that an administration that doesn't keep up with international trends on motor vehicle safety, example allowing vehicles to be sold without airbags and ABS braking is at best negligence.

So sad. Pleased to see the Police stopping and breathalyzing drivers. The Police just have to be consistent, (sorry! 555)not just on Tuesdays, but every day and the punishment has to be painful.
Its lack of education. Children of 10 still ride motorbikes, it's just WRONG but parents don't understand. Educate, educate, educate.
