Disabled man kills wife, himself

SUKHOTHAI - A man with a withered leg shot dead his wife and then committed suicide in his home in Sukothai's Sri Samrong district, police said on Wednesday, speculating that he was worried that he could not take care of his family.
The bodies of Veera Tohpan, 53, and his wife, Jaitip Tohpan, both had a gunshot wound to the chest. Police found a pistol (corrected, not a shotgun) near the bodies.
Their neighbour told the police they had heard Veera muttering to himself about his inability to provide for his wife because of his disability and that the couple was last seen on Monday.
