Prisons, cops to draw up riot control plan

The Corrections Department will seek the help of the Royal Thai Police Office (RTPO) to draw up a new plan to handle riots and hostage situations in prisons, department chief Suchart Wong-anantchai said.
His deputy, Korbkiat Kasiwiwat, will draw up the riot control operation plan with help from the RTPO.
The move came after the weekend hostage drama at Khao Bin prison in Ratchaburi which left one prison warder and two inmates dead.
