Pheu Thai denies axing TV show

The cancellation of the Channel 3 political soap opera "Nua Mek 2" for "inappropriate content" had nothing to do with the government, says a Pheu Thai Party deputy spokesman.

"The government did not intervene or order [Channel 3] to take Nua Mek 2 off the air," Jirayu Huangsap said on Saturday.

"But we should be aware that people will always associate any soap operas with a political storyline with the current government in any period of time."

The show mirrors society today but it is merely actors bringing real life to the screen of every home young and old to consume. Wouldn't it be nice if we could cancel real life the same way.

"he failed to understand why the content of Nua Mek 2 was deemed inappropriate since the drama focused on morality, ethics, goodness and the principle of doing good for the country." Because all of these are the opposite of what the current government represents.

“The government cannot interfere with Channel 3's operation and there is no reason to do so, she added”.

Oh really! No interference with media, no censorship of media. Since when? Don’t the government and/or military have control over the broadcast media?
Just look to the past – and now – the present.
A necromancer? When will the witch hunt start?

It could have gone like this:'Hello, oh, you remember my number, well, this is an un-official call, you know, just to tell you that of course we can't and wouldn't order you to take it off the air, yes, we heard though some influential person said it's inappropriate to portray him in this way, no, no name, but he said he would be able to show you his appreciation soon, yes, in your professional career, yes, when you would pull the plug that is, or not, it will be entirely up to you, yes...'

"The hook of the story was that the prime minister has already been dead and what we see is his body possessed by a necromancer."

Reality: A puppet-master pulls the strings of a puppet.
Fantasy: A necromancer controls a somnambulist zombie.

    So art DOES imitate life.
