The PAD are experts, and have been trying everything they can to achieve 5 goals: division among Thai people, anarchy in Thailand, toppling of democratically elected governments, wars with neighboring countries and closing the country.

ASTV’s commentary is typical of most radical media in Thailand; insulting as always. Although their views are some what inflammatory to say the least, they still have the rights to express their honest opinions in a democratic society. Soldiers should leave Politics to the seasoned “crocodiles and snakes” in parliament; if we allow these soldiers to “express” their disappointment in this manner, other public institutions such as the Police and civil servants may follow suit. All of us have a role to play on matters of national interests but any actions / reactions must be within the limits and bounded by the rules of the institution

this group of PAD, they have been insulting everyone and every law even their own in planet. so if they are not getting along with the army, then the future coup, who are they going to turn to?. Cambodia no need to go to war with Thailand at all because lives will be lost, in the end all Cambodian people die even the deaths on Thai side.

The UCMJ does not revoke a US serviceman’s 1st amendments rights. They are however limited. Since the Iraq war, there have been cases where soldiers prosecution where limited based on arguing 1st amendment rights. Court martial is no longer always the outcome.

So. PAD not just elitist, but sexist and misogynistic as well. Lovely.

The Media general understands that freedom also carries the burden of responsibility.

ASTV (given the reporting was correct) have shown gross respect for human dignity. In a true democracy expression of conflicting views has to be respected and not to be rudely personalised.

An published apology should be made to General.

I am confused as where their loyalty stands in the society. Most Thai Soldiers are poor farmers conscripted into the army. Those rich and well connected are those Officers who take side with the hands that feed them with the most cash. In the United States Army, uniform member are not allow and it is against army regulations to participate in election and involve in political campaign and or protesting in uniform. We have radio stations in America, in Iraq, and in Afghanistan insulted the President of United States calling him a liar, cheater, and others terrible insults and remarks all the time and we don’t go out protest in uniform. A very tasteless choice of words, not even appropriate for barrack room banter. All sides should shut up until such time as the legal folk finish, stop second guessing and wait.
