Poll: Protect country's 'dignity'

A majority of people want the government to work hard at protecting Thailand's dignity regarding the Thai-Cambodian dispute over Preah Vihear temple, according to Suan Dusit Poll.

The poll, carried out to gauge the people's overall feelings on the Preah Vihear dispute, was conducted between Jan 9-12 on 1,204 people throughout the country.

Of the respondents, 54.08% had fair knowledge about the dispute from the news media, 30.29% knew only a little about it while 9.13% paid no interest to it. Only 6.50% knew the dispute well.

    what dignity? , most of Thailand's Asian neighbours look at Thailand as an ongoing joke,a Country of contradictions and then We have Chalerm!!!

    Dignity? In Thailand? That same Thailand that has plans to deport thousands of children born on Thai soil, to the country of their parents? You can't protect something that isn't there.
