10 dead, 1 hurt in head-on collision

SUKHOTHAI – Ten people were killed and the sole survivor critically injured in a head-on collision between two pickup trucks on Tuesday, police said.

Pol Capt Manoon Noichua, duty officer at Kirimat police station, said the accident occurred on the Sukhothai - Kamphaeng Phet road. 

One of the vehicles was taking nine workers to a construction site in Kirimat district. It smashed head-on with another pickup truck.

    At D3. It only takes 1 idiotic driver to cause an accident. One of them might have been in the right and tried to avoid it. You can't blame both of them.

    A huge death toll in which no lessons will be learned and no problems will even be acknowledged by the law makers here.
    D3 you are right, these drivers are idiotic and their recklessness / selfishness has broken up potentially 10 different families. There are road policing units on that road but all they seem to do is stop and check vehicles for contraband.. Giving some education and ticketing for unsafe loads and bad driving is surely a bigger priority

    whatever vehicle you drive on any road in Thailand you are gambling with your life..at least these two idiotic drivers cant damage any more lives thro their selfishness and lack of respect for the law and other road users

    never is the security importend...more then 12000 road dead in 1 year.in sitzerland 291...thailand 65million people,switzerland 8.2million...any question ??? its very sad...but for police and goverment,corruption is more importend. SAD
