Thai workers among hostages in Algeria

Thai workers were among 41 people taken hostage yesterday by Islamist militants at a gas field in Algeria, according to Algerian news reports.
The Foreign Ministry was working to verify the reports at press deadline.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Manasvi Srisodapol said authorities from the Thai embassy in France were contacting Algerian authorities to confirm whether Thais were among the hostages.
