Voters 'want honest governor'

Honesty tops the list of qualities Bangkok residents are seeking in a governor, according to a new Suan Dusit Poll.

The pollsters from Suan Dusit Rajabhat University interviewed 1,215 eligible voters in Bangkok, seeking their opinions on their preference to become Bangkok governor, from Jan 14-18.

The two front runners in the election scheduled for March 3 are MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra, the Democrat incumbent, and Pol Gen Pongsapat Pongcharoen, who has the backing of the Pheu Thai Party.

"who is good, honest and moral and has a good image." Name one governor the past 50 years that fit these qualifications? PT is fielding a police general with a criminal record in the USA for stealing a radio. Does that qualify as hones, moral, and good image? We all know the current governor is entangled in a web of legal problems resulting from corruption. So in all honestly, the Thai's have no one to vote for because no one can pass these 4 simple qualitifications

Unfortunately I don't think the politicians have an "Honest Governor" in mind.

Speaking of honesty, I see by the posters that we have two police generals running for governor. Wonder why policemen so long to rule the city.
