Mahidol in world's 50 green campuses

Mahidol University has been ranked first in Thailand – and 36th internationally – for its environmental performance in the latest GreenMetric Ranking of World Universities.

There were 215 universities from 49 countries studied in the just released survey, which is now in its third year. This year, University of Connecticut in the United States was ranked first, followed by the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom and University College Cork National University of Ireland.

Three other Thai universities are also in the top 50 including King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi , ranked 38, Chulalongkorn University (41) and Kasetsart University (44).

who cares to care? Thai universities and cmpuses are quite good compared with other universities in ASEAN counries> This is so since their schools are newly consructed or built adodpting the modern architectural design. But when it comes to quality of education, these universities are in the tail end of the list.

Okay, okay, score one for Thailand but # 36 out of 50 in the Olympics, would put you on an airplane home !

This is only environment but it does not reflect the quality of education the students learn in those schools. Other schools around ASEAN countries are at par withe those schools found in USA or UK when it comes to quality despite being in the third countries. Skills competition and other contest can prove this. a lot of small schools can even outdo these big universities... mentioned... believed me.
