Police 'not protecting' arrested hunter

Police have not taken sides in the case involving the hunting of protected wildlife in a national park in which a policeman was among those arrested, a deputy national police chief said on Thursday.

Pol Gen Pansiri Praphawat was responding to questions why the policeman had not been charged along with the others for hunting in Keang Krachan National Park in Phetchaburi province.

Pol Lt Theerayuth Ketmangmee was among the nine hunters caught within the park boundaries.

If maybe no brave enough to expose this anomalies, then I think the police officer will not dare to invistigate further the case and the police who was involve in illigal hunting will not be punish and can continue his illigal hunting untill all the wildlife is gone. Lets wait for the invistigation of this deputy officers, he might clear the police of any illigal hunting hahah

Do tell us more in 1-2 days how he is not being protected.

Maybe the lieutenant in the act of arresting them perhaps. Letting death row inmates out on bail is one thing but this let off is a wee bit blatant isn't it.

BTW , what happened to the case of the camera toting Thai policeman and the Swiss girl accused of stealing his toy. I wonder if the camera contained pictures the policeman took without authorisation by any chance ?. Whatever the truth is this will be another lump of mud thrown on the soggy reputation of Thailand as a safe place to visit.
