Sihasak seeks South China Sea parley

SINGAPORE : Thailand will seek ways to bring about talks between China and the Philippines over their South China Sea territorial dispute.

Bilateral talks will be important in resolving the conflict, Foreign Ministry permanent secretary Sihasak Phuangketkaew said yesterday.

The Philippines is taking action against China under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
