Police seek gunman who shot up ASTV cars

The Democrat Party has urged police to speedily find the gunman who fired bullets into four ASTV Manager cars at the newspaper's head office in the early hours of Saturday.

Opposition leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said the incident represented a threat to the media, and police had a responsibility to quickly shed light on who was the shooter.

Police are searching for clues to the identity of the gunman.

Disc 7 Musashi - "and all he got was a scratch on his forehead" This is the most ridiculous and malicious of all the lies you have ever written in the Bangkok Post forum.

Sondhi had a severe head wound with bullet fragments in his skull... What is your ridiculous hypothesis? That he had himself shot in the head by defective guns? The attackers were driven off by bodyguards firing from a second car. Your post is Red Propaganda and lies of the worst kind. Anyone else would be embarrassed to write such drivel... But I know you won't be.

This mysterious incident looks like another re-enactment of a hoo-ha piece of news that ASTV created to sell through the media.

Reminds me of the time ASTV's Limtongkul was ambushed by several gunmen, spraying hundreds of bullets at his car at close range, and all he got was a scratch on his forehead. With hundreds of shots, even several blind gunmen would have had a better result at such close range.

Limtongkul is certainly well placed to act in the next Die Hard movie when Bruce Willis retires. One thing for sure, this guy likes to tell big lies.

Here in Thailand, people would rather kill then compromise or talk things out

Looks like the old Thaksin-intimidation of the media is back in full swing - ironic even as they wring their hands about Thaksin propagandist "journalist" Somyot being sentenced to 10 years, they are shooting at media members they don't like.

I am sure there will be many cowardliness actions like this in Bangkok before the March election to try to intimidate people.

This is the way cowards act.

This is the same tactics of intimidation used by previous dictatorships of the fugitive. Such desperate acts will yet again backfire on him and his cronies.
