Former DJ faces statutory rape charge

A former community radio DJ has been arrested for having a sexual relationship with a minor in Nong Bua Lamphu province.

Crime Suppression Division police arrested Preecha Sriphantabutr, 37, on a warrant alleging statutory rape issued by Nong Bua Lamphu provincial court. 

In 2006, Mr Preecha, while working as a DJ at a community radio station in Mukdahan province, allegedly took a 14-year-old girl he had an intimate relationship with to a waterfall in Nong Bua Lamphu province and had sex with her.

    He was arrested only but not mentioned if put to prison and I have strong feeling that if ever this man will be convicted and sentence to prison, he will be set free again by just posting bail. That's the sysem here. Money can makes all things well,.. and att the end of the day justice is denied to the victims..
