The evidence is strong and has been verified and it is just a matter of time before a police officer protected by his colleagues will join eight other suspects facing charges of hunting protected animals inside Kaeng Krachan National Park, the park chief said on Tuesday.

Park chief Chaiwat Limlikhit-aksorn said the park would supply the evidence to state prosecutors needed to add Pol Lt Col Theerayuth Ketmangmee to the list of defendants on charges of illegally hunting protected wildlife inside the park.

"I am only waiting for the Office of the Attorney-General. All evidence is ready (for submission)," he said.

No, he didn't say the officer would be charged. He said "matter of time ". Well isn't everything a "matter of time" ? If it were me I would be behind bars now but, in this case,
that "matter of time" could be months, years,forever ? and, no mention was made of the other officers trying to protect him.

The police who protect him should not be transferred to another post! They should be fired. This again is telling the world the police cannot be trusted. Let's hope they do not get to the attorney general as well.

So hunting illigally in Khang Khrachan by those 7 civilians and 1police officer will be history.Why? Because the national park's name will be changed to"Thailand Western Complex("sound very much Thai) and no one in the future generation would no what horrible thing took place at this world heritage Park.When I tell my granchildren that I visit this wonderful park there were many animals and rich in fauna&flora, mygrandchildren woud say "WHAT?is this place real grammy? I never heard of it What a funny name" the name changed might bring good luck to the place. Keep them busy putting up new sign as well.
