Villager slain in Yala

A village man was killed in an ambush in Yala’s Raman district on Thursday morning, police said.
The dead man was identified as Muelee Masamae, 62, resident of Ban Jakua, tambon Jakua of Raman district.
Police said the attack occurred on the village’s rural road about 11am.
Witnesses told police that Muelee was travelling home on his motorcycle when gunmen hiding in roadside forest fired on him with handguns.
