Assumption parents turn to DSI

Foundation running school faces probe

Parents of students at Assumption College have petitioned the Department of Special Investigation to investigate the bank accounts of the St Gabriel Foundation, which oversees the school.

Wiwatchai Kulmart, adviser to the network of parents and children for education reform, yesterday handed a letter to DSI deputy chief Siwaporn Chuenjitsiri asking the department to check the foundation's bank accounts.

They want to know if the foundation's donation money, totalling more than 2 billion baht, was properly acquired and where it came from.
