Interesting that some people click "like" on this kind of news.

This government doesn't have any solutions to the terrorism situation in the South. The reason that the police and DPM Chalerm don't refer to the murderers as 'terrorists' is because that could impact tourism in Thailand.

    D!, D2, D5
They are not terrorists, insurgents, militants or any other PC name that fits the slot at the time.

The simple and true words is that they are MURDERERS of innocent men women and children, nothing else.

The international community will not listen, nor will it care, until Thailand demonstrates that IT cares.

Perhaps PTP can give away a few thousand tons of rice in the Southern provinces. It might actually get some villagers on their side who would report on or turn in the "militants".
It couldn't hurt and would put the rice to good use instead of rotting in a warehouse somewhere.
    Win their hearts and minds.

Why these farmers not have somebody riding "shotgun". These murdering terrorists get away with it because they can. Why do they not arm themselves and be suspect of any two guys on a motorbike? They obviously cannot depend on the police or military to protect them.

We are looking at 5,500 deaths currently and approaching 6,000 souls soon.
This part of Thailand has been neglected for years.
This situation has been a hidden problem for decades.

Notice that this pretty lady government has a strong plan quickly implemented for any project that costs hundreds or even thousands of billion baht. Or any project that will bring Thaksin back a hero. The problem in the south holds nothing interesting for them, no chance to blame abhisit, no chance to make big money through corrupt project budgeting. So they left the problem in the hands of a minister (chalerm) who is notorious for getting drunk, in H.K and then in Malaysia. The world community needs to ask the government whether they, want the South to be a part of Thailand in the first place.

We don't need any rice experts in the Deep South at the moment. What we urgently need is experts in counterterrorism from Israel or the USA to help us winning our War on Terror against these murderous terrorists from hell!

There are not terrorists in Southern, Deputy PM Chalerm has said.... Is he blind or stupid ????
