Graft panel mulls cutting PCC contract

A police panel looking into alleged corruption in the police station building construction scheme will today discuss a proposal to scrap a contract awarded to a sole contractor.

The contractor, PCC Development and Construction Co (PCC), was also invited to face questioning by the committee over its decision to abandon construction projects at several police stations nationwide, deputy national police chief Worapong Chiewpreecha said yesterday.

A police source said Pol Gen Worapong on Friday notified all affected police stations about measures intended to mitigate the impact of unfinished construction.
