Forestry reshuffle blooms with 90 ousted

ANALYSIS: New chief's enthusiasm for pushing officers out of top posts gets the better of him

Less than one month into his new post, Manopat Huamuangkaew, chief of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, has already transferred 90 forest officials.

This figure is likely to rise as the new chief is still working to establish a foothold in the department.

It is yet to be seen whether Mr Manopat will surpass the record of his predecessor, Damrong Pidech, who transferred about 200 officials during his one-year stint as department chief.

Another example of why the Government is wallowing. What a management technique, I don't like you so you can be someone else's problem. If there people are not capable of performing there duties then have all management reapply for there positions. how can he asses all these people in one month.Would be interesting if Toyota got a new director and applied the same technique to see what the consequences were.I think we all know the real reason. Not heard much about evictions lately.
