Another joke on Thailand laws and order

Just as someone called the outcome last week in one of the discussion posts....... just makes you wonder where the justice is, certainly not in Thailand.

@englishbob #9, you are absolutely right. Kamnan Poh was convicted for arranging the murder of a political rival which is obviously a “politically motivated crime”. Should he also be part of the suggested red amnesty and whitewash? Or will some people finally wake up that some crimes might be politically motivated but they are still crimes and people who commit these crimes should go to jail like any other common criminals.

But there IS a precedent for this...
Imagine a rich and powerful politician being corrupt but popular.

Upon (finally) being found guilty, his supporters say, 'But OTHER people are corrupt too... ' as though that had ANY bearing on justice at all.

I wonder if all the officials who visited him today in hospital took a day off to make a private visit to this criminal or did they pretend to have a reason like checking the security around him so that he can’t escape? Or do the president of the Chon Buri provincial administration organisation (PAO) and the mayor of Saensuk Municipality welcome every new prisoner like this?
Why are people who openly mingle with murderous criminals are allowed to keep their posts? Why do people vote for them?

If I was a politician in the opposition or an activist, I would all the families of prisoners to make request to transfer their relatives in a prison close to their home and of course make it public.

My opinion is that a criminal should be treated as a criminal without any special treatmentand also anyone who sheltered and covered him while he was suppose to be on run away should be charged whatever their position.

I believe he will spend more time at home than in the cell. It is really disgusting to see some people having special treatment...now I understand why he was arrested.

Their family practically owns Chon Buri province

The suite in the hospital where he is staying in will have 5 star service and he will be waited on hand and foot.

I very much doubt that now he is back in Chon Buri, where all his family relatives and friends run the place, would he ever see an inside of a cell.

Not much of a punishment for someone who should be serving serious time.
