Tomboy students seek equality

Tomboy students at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University (SSRU) are demanding equality after their professors banned them from wearing pants to class but allowed male gay students to attend class wearing skirts, an SSRU report said on Tuesday.

The women complained that being forced by teachers to wear female attire to classrooms, instead of male clothing, distressed them. It also denied them their free will, and breached the constitution and the principle of gender equality, the report said.

Learning, investigating, research, come up with new and helpful solutions for the environment, for communities, for self-esteem and for progress is far more important than a dress code. Males who want to wear skits--that is fine. Females who want to wear pants--that is fine. Freedom of choice includes all choice.

"Well I'm not the worlds most masculine man
    But I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man
And so is Lola" lyrics snippet Lola "the kinks"

Personally I welcome ALL people that are humble, intelligent, and make a positive contribution to society. Content of character is above all.

The report didn't say about male in female uniform using the bathroom. If you have very keen eyes you might be able to indentify who is crossed dress male and female but who will have time for that when you want to use the bathroom. My sugestion has nothing to do with fairness. Girls, please stay with your skirt whether you feel like tomboy . it has something to do with hygienes and climates. You wont be sorry when your see your fellow students in the pants scratching themselve because the heat rashes on the top of some other alements that tend to flareup in that areas. skirts ventilate better. Trust me.

Male gay students wearing skirts to class, on one condition, they shave their legs. Nothing more off putting than seeing a nice short skirt with hairy legs protruding from underneath it!!

Having travelled and lived in different countries around the world I have never seen anything quite like it than in Thailand. Boys want to be girls and girls want to be boys.
What is in the genes here that we have such huge numbers of tom boys and lady boys??
    Can anyone answer that??????

Fair enough. Let them wear anything, as long as it is something.

With respect, they are adults according to the law.

Treat them like children and they will NEVER grow up. That is why Thai 1st year University students have the maturity of a grade 10 student in a western society.

    gender equality....dear me YES.
Why not guy skirts schools were everybody feels happy?
Why do I have to send my kids to a school were guys wearing skirts?
This is about education not an intergration class.

Why do I have to agree, with something i don't agree about?
Sincerely ,i do NOT discriminate, nor judge anybody, i am happy with everybody as long as I myself have the right to engage or not.
They are children for crying out loud!

It seems educators concerns with education are more trivial than slacks vs skirts.
