PHITSANULOK - A man was arrested on Tuesday on charges that he had assaulted and raped his daughter at the family farm for five years.

Police apprehended Banjit Srisook, 41, at his home in Phrom Phiram district. They seized a wooden plank allegedly used by the man as a weapon against his daughter since 2008.

The daughter, now 20, told officers she had been living alone with her father after her mother left the man, complaining he was an alcoholic with violent behaviour. It was not clear why she left her daughter with the man.

If he is guilty of this horrendous crime, I hope that he spends many years in prison where the other inmates can "remind" him of his actions on a daily basis.
My heart goes out to the poor girl.

Why does it seem that every time you read about the BIB arresting someone it also ends up that the person confessed. Based on news stories the BIB have a pretty good record - they get 100 percent confessions.

I am in agreement with several of the commenters here who put this as disgusting and some who would not like to see it printed because of its vileness and its possible negative effect on society. This is perversion at its worse. D6, MeBoy, for what reason would you need to see a re-enactment ?

@hangover.....comparing this case with that case serves no purpose unless you're with the culture ministry. Incest and violence against children is morally reprehensible on any level. I know what I would be giving to the father and it is metal jacketed moving at high velocity.

Readers should be reminded of a similar case where a father raping his own daughter for years in a European country some time ago (forgot the country's name and prefer not to name it). This evil father also locked her in the basement for years and even came for a holiday in Thailand where his photo was also taken. This case was even worse than what had happened in Pitsanulok. No one remembers this case ?

Please stop writing rape news. It's already too much and it's not going to help all the woman victims to cope up with their physically tragic and psychologically agonizing pain. I think it will help to increase your ratings by posting any "WANTED" pictures of criminals who are still on a run so anyone can contact the authorities about their whereabouts and make Thailand safer for everyone. It's easy; Go to the police station, get all those criminal pictures, scanned them and upload them. And Give Rewards. Just saying...
