Suthep slaps Tarit with libel suit

Ex-deputy PM rejects claims of police station graft

Mr Suthep, who oversaw the Royal Thai Police during the Democrat administration, insisted that neither he nor former premier Abhisit Vejjajiva had any knowledge of a letter from potential bidders opposing the Royal Thai Police plan to centralise the bidding process for 396 police stations nationwide.

All public works contracts of this size require bid bonding and performance bonding. A contractor faces significant loss by not completing. Also, payments are only made as a percentage of completion. Monies are never released in advance.
A consultant or architect represents the owner and administers the contract by insisting on the specified quality and percentage of completion.
In a properly administered contract, there is no loss to the owner regardless of the contractors behaviour.

shopwow # 29, "House dissolved in May 2011. The P.T government takes office after the election, it was the duty of the P.T government to monitor progress of the project and enforce the default penalties" Wow, that sounds familiar, same happened to the water levels in the dams during that time, which later on resulted in the man made disaster flooding with a thousand dead which was passed as a natural disaster. The PT took over and failed to do their homework, or was it to ensure voter loyalty after promising the rice scheme scam. Why oh why are the newspaper journalist, local and foreign, not digging deep enough so the truth comes out?

    Disc 33 - 4 dislikes already?... Lol It's REALLY galling, isn't it?
I mean you guys keep trotting out the 'cooking show' line. And it REALLY stings when someone points out what really happened.

Maybe one of you should try the 'ran into bullets' line now, so I can discredit that one too.

Anyone want a shot at explaining away Thaksin's 'weak from fasting' line? Funny, none of you want to touch that one, do you?

If you repeat what Suthep say to any Thai, they will probably roll on the floor laughing. It's hilarious to see so many posting defending him while every Thais already have an opinion of him and his notorious sons and family members and certainly incorruptible not in their opinion.

If a former PM could be sentenced to 2 years imprisonment for allowing his wife to openly bid for a piece of land, then the one who approved every step of this fishy deal which caused the state damages in billions of baht, must be put behind bar the rest of his life, if not a capital punishment.

My Grandmother told me many times : "Before speaking you have to turn your tongue seven times inside the mouth" Tarit Pendit should follow her advice....

"I swear on my life that I'm not corrupt". Even in 1995 with the scandal of Sor Por Kor 4-01 land reform scheme?
