Yingluck: No decision yet on curfew

No decision will be made on whether to impose a curfew in the southernmost border provinces at today's meeting of the National Security Council (NSC), Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said on Monday.

The prime minister said the meeting would take reports on the latest developments in the three provinces, but would not decide whether to impose a  curfew in parts of the region.

    The only curfew that will work is a 24hr one on Chalerm getting involved.

    A curfew won't do much to stop the insurgency. In fact, a curfew could make the situation more favorable for the insurgents, i.e, they would know anyone moving around at night, or during curfew, would most-likely be military, or government officials. The insurgents have to be dealt with by using superior military tactics.

    Good expression TO the best of there ability.But that is not good enough is it the killing is still going on.How a curfew will help anyone is behold me.Do they think those planting bombs will bother about a curfew.There stealth is the reason they are able to continue with these killings.It will hit the innocent locals more by restricting there daily lives.

    The terrorism problem didn't start yesterday, but longtime ago. The PENTAGON II should know all details already. It seems Our Mrs PM has no leadership, she cannot take decision about urgent matter...
