Patcharawat's delegate testifies to DSI

A representative of former police chief Patcharawat Wongsuwan reported to the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) on Monday to give testimony on the controversial contracts awarded by the Royal Thai Police Office for hundreds of police station buildings and apartment blocks, most of which are unfinished and abandoned.

Pol Maj-Gen Puwadol Wuthakanok, deputy commissioner of the Technology and Information Bureau, reported to Thanin Prempree, director of the DSI's corruption and suppression centre, with a letter of attorney from Pol Gen Patcharawat.

"And to think that the people of Bangkok may soon choose to VOTE Pol General Patcharawat in as Governor." Not very likely ...

"A representative of former police chief Patcharawat Wongsuwan reported to the Department of Special Investigation (DSI)"

He must have a very busy schedule that he cannot turn up in person, I thought he was retried.

I guess rank has its privileges that you can get someone else to testify on your behalf.

So that is it.Not even bother to show up in person.Send a sick note instead.NO cross examination under oath. Innocent on all charges finito job done.
Dare say the others will treat the police with contempt just the same after all this has set a precedent.

"The current Police Chief would be invited to give information on the execution of the construction contracts" ?? Yes,of course they should have input into what is needed, but that is where it should end for them. Is there not a Government Engineering Dept. to spearhead this?
