Low cost airline Nok Air has been roundly criticised over a web PR promotion offering calenders with pictures of women in bikinis posing next to one of its passenger planes.

Nok Air, which is based in Thailand, announced on its Facebook page that people who participated in its online campaign would receive the airline's 2013 calendar.

When are Thais ever going to wake up ? When most people in Europe or the US hear the word THAILAND most connect it with the sexindustry and that is NOT because of a joke on SNL/Youtube it is from girls working in Pattaya,Phuket and Bangkok doing sexshows and selling themselvs openly while the police collect their teamoney to turn a blind eye.Too many Thais earning money from this so the PT goverments answer is to blame a joke on Youtube.What a joke !

So it's bad to have these girls in calendars, but it's okay to have the same girls flaunting their stuff at car shows. Amazing, I'm starting to figure this place out. My wife will be so impressed with me.

Disc 20 "there even sometimes topless, sure against any Thai culture." NOPE, not so. Thai women traditionally went topless until Pibulsonggram was PM (1938-1944), his cultural reform campaign required that Thai women wear their hair long and have their breasts properly covered. Also of note he also required Thais to use a fork and spoon to eat with.

Hypocrites !!!! And simple minded critics....If you don't like the calendar, just go and buy yourselves a calendar with elephants dolphins or fruits.....You are worse than the inquisition in Europe hundreds of years ago....Clean up your corruption first and stop being governed by a convicted criminal on the run....THEN only have you got the right to talk....

A lot of fuss about women wearing bikinis, but not a word from the locals about the nightly violence on tv. Just shows how totally screwed up Thailand is - and then they want to broadcast their warped sense of priorities to the world. Incredible.
